A NEW LOOK

After over 20 years, it was time. The game has evolved and so has the way a brand needs to show up in the world.

This rebrand isn’t just a new look. It’s a full-court reset: built to re-energise our culture, connect with the next generation of fans, and fuel a bold new era of dominance - on and off the court.

A PROUD LEGACY

Since the 1980s, the Perth Wildcats have been a symbol of Western Australian pride - driven by deep community roots and a legacy of success.

Over the decades, we’ve forged a winning culture, collecting championships and earning the unmatched loyalty of our Red Army. Through it all, one element has remained constant: the Wildcat.

ELITE LEVEL

We’re 10x NBL Champions and we expect continued success. The new logo should reflect our championship caliber and dominant league status.

RED ARMY

‘Red’ is central to our identity. It must remain prominent, as we embrace our classic heritage while engaging a new and progressive member/fan base.

THE BRIEF

DEFINE ‘WILDCAT’

The current logo shows like a feral cat.

Our brand history has included  a lioness, wolverine, and panther. We need to represent the Wildcats.

COMMUNITY

We look to celebrate our deep roots in Perth and Western Australia,  reinforcing our community bond across the entire state.

WE HEARD YOU!

We surveyed the Red Army, and here's what you had to say...

THE KEY ELEMENTS

1.

WILD FUR

Wildcats have fierce and wild fur, not smooth. Constructed with sweeping lines, like players cutting in and out of the keyway on a play.

2.

COLOUR

Our iconic primary colour is red and so is our Red Army, something that our Wildcat is a big part of.

3.

LOOKING FORWARD

Our Wildcat is always facing to the right, growling to our competition and moving forward.

4.

INGRAINED IN WA

The only NBL team of WA.

ICON

Built with sharp, sweeping lines like a player cutting through the key. Its thick, attacking mane is unique to this region’s Wildcat.

The fierce open-mouth growl and fanged jaw nod to our 90s lion mark, while the intense gaze is classic Wildcats — eyes locked on the next challenge.

WORDMARK

The new wordmark carries the legacy forward with pointed detail like a Wildcat’s ears, a curve inspired by stateside basketball style, and PERTH in a windswept lean riding our renowned Westerly winds straight into the action.
